In this class, teams will work on the basic Rally signs and exercises required for the AKC Rally Novice level, including heeling skills, turns, sits, downs, stays, and transitions between exercises. Handlers will also learn how to read and properly perform Rally signs, navigate a course, and understand AKC Rally rules and ring etiquette.
Emphasis is placed on clear communication, engagement, and confidence for both dog and handler. This class is taught at a beginner-friendly pace with plenty of support, making it ideal for those new to dog sports. While competition is not required, the skills taught will prepare teams for AKC Rally trials and provide excellent everyday obedience.
