SCKC TRAINING CLASSES

We are opening up gradually, following best practices as outlined by Colorado's Safer at Home guidelines.
The SCKC Training Center is cleaned between each class.

We ask that students wear a mask and maintain social distancing.

Every dog, purebred or rescue, benefits from training. Obedience classes are a great way to start training your new puppy or adult dog. And when you and your dog have mastered basic obedience commands, it is easy, and fun to move into active sports like agility, rally or scent work, or participate in the community as a therapy team. Activities with your dog provide the dog with necessary exercise and mental challenge and strengthens the bond between the two of you. We also offer competitive training for AKC events to the competitor that wants that winning edge.

Our instructors are Southern Colorado Kennel Club members with experience in training and trialing their own dogs who have volunteered to share their knowledge and experience.

Come join the fun!

The Southern Colorado Kennel Club offers public sessions of dog training classes throughout the year at our training facility, 715 North Grand, Pueblo, 81003. There is generous off-street parking west of the building with a west entrance.

It is required that you pre-register for all classes, so we avoid over-crowding. As demand warrants, a second class may be offered at a different time and day to cover overloads. Various classes and times are offered for everyone’s convenience. Not all classes are available during the time slots. Please pick the best ones for you.
Classes fill up quickly. Register as soon as you can.

For more information on class times and prices, or to pre-register for classes please email Helen O'Connor or call 719-251-3609.

Proof of a current Rabies vaccination from a AVMA certified veterinarian may be requested by the trainers. A collar tag is NOT proof.

These are some of the types of classes that we offer. Not all of them are available all the time.
