Conformation 101

This 8-week course is designed for the novice competitor in the conformation show ring, teaching the “how-tos” of showing your dog. Included in this program will be instruction on stacking, gaiting, patterns, presenting your dog, proper show dress, ring etiquette and AKC rules concerning the conformation ring. There will be classroom time and ring practice time each week so bring your dog (there are crates available) along with a pencil and notebook. Upon completion of this class you will be more knowledgeable, comfortable and competent as you and your dog step in the show ring. Fees for this course are $125 per person/dog, non-club member and $60 for SCKC members. Class size will be limited to 10 dog/handler teams.
